Blessed new week everyone! I hope you all had a great weekend. Honestly, the days are starting to all feel the same; it's hard to even remember what day it is sometimes.
I know lockdown can get quite boring and being cooped up inside tends to get frustrating (unless you're a true introvert such as myself who's enjoying having an excuse not to go out and be social). So today I want to suggest five movies that I think you'd love. You can even watch them as a family, have something fun to do. So grab some popcorn or whatever you eat at the cinema and have a movie-night with these movie suggestions.
1. Until Forever
I actually just watched this movie and honestly, it taught me a lot about having faith even in the worst of times. Until Forever is about a couple who go through challenging, faith-testing times when the boyfriend, Michael, is diagnosed with leukaemia.
One thing I really loved about this movie was that, despite the negatives that surrounded him and the fact that those around him felt scared and pessimistic, Michael always saw the positive in what he was going through. He saw it as an opportunity for God to use him to reach out to others, which he did, and although there were points when his faith was low, it just goes to show that it's alright to question God and feel frustrated at times. But through it all, we should remember to trust in what God is doing.

2. Mom's Night Out
Honestly, I remember laughing a lot in this movie. It's centred around Allyson, a mum and wife who works so hard in juggling her family and work. She decides one day to have a much-needed night out with her friends but the evening ends up taking a ridiculously strange yet funny turn of events.

3. God's Not Dead
God's Not Dead focuses on the faith of different people but mainly that of a college Christian, Josh Wheaton, who ends up having to defend his faith in God against his Philosophy professor, who claims that God is dead. This movie is honestly one of the best movies I've watched because it talks about defending your belief in God, even when it seems the whole world is against you, and despite the consequences it can lead to.
I love how Josh doesn't force his classmates to believe in God, unlike his professor who tries to instil it into the minds of his students that God isn't real. Josh is able to defend his faith and in ends up starting a movement. The movie talks about other characters too like a reporter who finds out she's dying, a Muslim girl who faces rejection from her family after turning to Christianity and two pastors who seem to combine these characters together. I highly recommend that you watch this if you haven't already. And if you have, well there's no harm in watching it again.

4. Beyond The Mask
If you like faith movies with some action and drama, then this movie is perfect. Beyond the Mask is about an assassin, who due to wanting to leave his life of killing, is himself assassinated. The assassination, fortunately, fails and he is forced to live a new life with a new identity. However, he finds that he can no longer hide and must plan a way to get back his reputation and in turn save the country from an evil mastermind. Along the way, he discovers love, faith in God and true freedom.

5. Do You Believe?
This movie centres on the stories of so many people who are all intertwined in one way or another. A pastor's faith is shaken and he in turn charges his church members to not only believe, but to let their faith in God show. The movie talks about this pastor and his wife and their inability to have a child, a pregnant teen that they take in, an old couple who lost their daughter, a mother and her child who are homeless, a fireman who is put on trial after sharing his faith with a dying man, two brothers who find themselves in gangs and robberies, among so many others.
This movie brings important questions to mind, which are:
What does it mean to believe?
Do you believe in the cross of Christ? If so, what are you going to do about it?

Hope you enjoy these movie suggestions. Continue to keep safe and have a blessed day.
Stay blessed and stay a blessing.
Thanks! I'll do just that
@Emmanuella Addei There are actually quite a number of things you could do with your family. Some things that my family and I have done together include baking, cooking, playing board games, and to be honest just spending time together talking about random things. It's good to just use your imagination too and come up with anything you think would be fun for everyone to do together xxx
Yay!!
So I am happy about there being a post today. That's one thing that won't make today feel the same for moi. I just wish I had WiFi ..but I have watched 2 of these. I'll take comfort in that. What other things can you suggest are 'family friendly' activities?
