Book Recommendations

Hello lovelies!

It's been a while since I made some book recommendations. Mostly because I've not been reading as much these days, being busy with so many things.

I did recently read a few books that I would love to share with you. These books are all Christian fiction, with one of them being centred on Biblical characters. Hope you do get the chance to read them.

The Fairest Maidens Medieval Romance Collection

The first set of books is a trilogy by Jody Hedlund. This trilogy, like another one of her trilogies that I mentioned in my previous book recommendation post, is set mainly in the kingdom of the Great Isle. Each book follows the story of one of the three princes of Scania- the neighbouring kingdom-, as they undergo a Testing to determine who would become the king's successor. Each prince faces months of hardship and crosses paths with a significant other who they join forces with to fight a common enemy- Queen Margery.

What I love about each of these books is the lessons they teach. Each Prince must fulfill a challenge in their Testing, according to their characters: Being a slave of all, Denying Oneself and Looking on the Heart. Through tests and troubling situations each protagonist goes through, they learn what it truly means to be a leader of people. The books in this series are: Beholden, Beguiled and Besotted.

A Lineage of Grace

This book by Francine Rivers gives a retelling into 5 female Biblical characters: Tamar, Rahab, Ruth, Bathsheba and Mary. These stories, based on biblical accounts, talk about women of faith, courage, grace and obedience. Many people of today- particularly women- can relate to these stories and through them, find some encouragement and strength to push through whatever situation they are facing.

In these stories, we see how God works things together for good and we see His unfailing love to even seemingly undeserving characters.

I hope that you get the chance to read and enjoy these book recommendations. You can purchase them online or look for the e-book versions (Amazon would be a great place to look). Happy reading!

What is your take on these book recommendations. Have you read any of these already? Do let me your thoughts on them and any lessons you learned from them in the comments below. Also, message/email me if you have any other book recommendations (Instagram).

Have a great weekend!

Stay blessed and stay a blessing
