Songs For A New Month

Happy new month lovelies!

It's amazing to think that we're already in the ninth month of the year. How time flies!

To help us ease into the month of September, here are 5 new song suggestions for you to check out. I hope that as you listen to these, they help you set out your goals and plans for the new month.

1. Desire - Limoblaze ft Emandiong

Starting off with Limoblaze's new song, 'Desire'.

Shameless flex alert: I got the chance to hear this song when it was unreleased, at the T22 Conference. *Insert smirking emoji here*. LOL.

Anyway, aside being a great new addition to your workout playlist, this song expresses a deep love for God. God's faithfulness is clearly unmatched as He's our everything- from being our provider to being a friend that sticks closer than a brother. What more could we desire than Him? Than to be completely filled with His Spirit and a never-ending want to know Him/be with Him always.

May this be our prayer this month.

2. Where You Are - Sanctuary Music ft Niiella

Another beautiful song I was introduced to at the T22 Conference. I don't know about you guys, but one of the many things I love about church youth conferences is coming back home with a playlist of new songs that I'll be singing for months on end.

This amazing song performed by Sanctuary Music and Niiella (so much love for her) is one I've been obsessed with since hearing it at the conference. Our heart's desire should be to always want to be where God is. To be near Him and to know Him on a personal level.

David says in Psalm 27:4:

To seek God and follow Him with a sincere heart is definitely worth doing.

3. All In - Blanca

All In: a song of surrender to God.

Let's make it our goal to live earnestly for God. Where He sends us, may we go. What He warns us against, may we take heed. What He wants us to do, may we carry out His plans diligently.

And this is not as a slave-master relationship, but rather a parent-child relationship. God, as our parent, always has the best intentions for us. And in order for His plans of prosperity, hope and peace to come to pass, we must learn to trust and obey.

4. Bless Me - Maverick City Music ft Kirk Franklin

Even as we step into this month, I hope this song will be one of your prayers. That the blessings of God will overflow in your life, so that you can also be a blessing to those around you.

That those who come up against you will see God's favour upon you and be marvelled. Step out into the new month knowing that death has been defeated and God's promises of victory in your life will and have come to pass.

5. Walk With Me - CalledOut Music ft IMRSQD and Samm Henshaw

'Tell me what's the point of doing life alone'.

That first line of the song is so meaningful. Many times, we find ourselves trying to take on the weights of life all alone. Funny how we do that when we have a God who is bigger than any problem. But I guess we just can't help it.

However, here's a reminder that, no matter how dark your days are, God can make it so much brighter if you just trust in Him and leave it all in His hands. One thing I've learnt and that I'm still working on is laying and leaving my problems at God's feet instead of picking them right back up after I present them to Him.

Let prayer be your go-to and allow yourself to be led by God.
