Hello lovelies!

My name is Eunice Obeng Atuah and I'm a proud Ghanaian-Scottish girl with a passion for singing and writing. But more importantly, I'm a proud child of the Most High God!

Growing up I was quite shy but I always had a wild imagination. Influence from movies and books meant that I could come up with the craziest story ideas, from long-lost sisters of mermaid descent to brave heroines risking their lives to rescue their people. I couldn't share these ideas out loud due to my rather introverted nature and so I resorted to writing. Hence  the growth of my passion.

Just like everyone else, I went through several changes in my life; the most significant one being moving back to Ghana at the age of 10, after nine years of living in Scotland. And for anyone who is unaware, Scotland is a beautiful nation found in the upper part of the United Kingdom, above England (the amount of times I've had to explain this is uncountable).

Many things happened during that transition period- emotionally, physically and spiritually. Change is obviously never easy and it's a constant variable in our lives. But one thing that gave me strength was my writing. Writing down my thoughts has always helped me feel better. There's just something about writing your feelings out on to a blank page that helps relieve stress. And that got me through many tough situations.

During my years in Ghana, I was definitely able to grow through my experiences. I am still growing as my journey of life continues, now in a different continent. Coming back to Scotland also brought about a number of realisations and eye openers about myself and about the world we live in.

I am currently a graduate engineer with a BEng (Honours) degree in Civil Engineering. Now, I know what you're thinking. Engineering and Writing? It's like Maths and English; total opposites. But I enjoy them both. I guess I've always been a smart child (all glory to God) but a creative one as well, so balancing the two is something I'm used to doing. However, it's also something I'm still learning to perfect.

This blog site was created because I wanted to share my experiences with young people like myself, who are going through the same things as I am or that I have already passed through. Sometimes, we think that we're the only people on earth going through a situation. But as I've come to know, we're never alone. It's crazy when you find out that someone else is experiencing the same hardship or challenge that you are. And the reason we go through what we do, is not just to build us up, but so that we can help other people get through these tough times too.

So join me as we share knowledge, stories, laughs and lessons. Please don't hesitate to share your story too, because you never know who might need encouragement from it. Life is a journey filled with ups and downs, but if we join hands, we'll be much stronger. So why don't we walk hand in hand on this road of life together?

Stay blessed and stay a blessing.

Eunice
