Nakupenda

Nakupenda by Preachers ft. Kambua and Teddy OT.

So today we're going explore music that's closer to home. Preachers is one of my favourite Ghanaian gospel groups; their songs not only have awesome beats, but their lyrics are also so motivational and have a lot to say.

This song Nakupenda is the product of a Ghanaian/Kenyan collaboration, hence the name Nakupenda. It's Swahili for 'I love you', and the song literally expresses a deep love for God, who He is and what He can do.

Now although I don't understand the Swahili in this song, I do understand the English and Twi. The message of this song is basically about how amazing God is and how His love for us is so overwhelming. His love really just makes you want to love Him more. The deeper you are in your relationship with God, the more that affection for Him grows. And it really is a beautiful thing.

He sent His only Son to die for us, giving up what was most precious to Him so that we could be saved; so that we could have a relationship with Him and enjoy all the great things He has in store for us.

So if you haven't experienced this amazing love, just go before Him today and ask Him to reveal Himself to you; to open your eyes to see this and all the wonderful things He's planned for you. Yearn to have that closer walk with Him and seek Him with all your heart. You won't regret it, I promise you!

Enjoy the mix of languages this song displays and enjoy the whole song in general!

Have an amazing day!
