Don't Waste Your Life by Lecrae.
So I'm actually not much of a rap fan. But I do have some exceptions, and Lecrae happens to be one of them. This song especially has a deep message that gets you thinking.
Don't Waste Your Life talks about how we have been saved for a purpose. Our main aim as Christians is to use our life to bring others to the saving knowledge of Christ; to go out and preach the gospel to the souls that are perishing. Everything else in life should be secondary.
But the thing is, we get caught up in all the troubles and issues of life. We put God and all God-related activities in second place. We need to make money, we need to provide for our families, we need to make it to the top. But that's not the reason we were saved.
Your money, your singleness, marriage, talent, your time They were loaned to you to show the world that Christ is Divine
All these things that we have in our life, they're all avenues for us to do God's work. Yes we need to provide for ourselves and families, but God says that we shouldn't worry about anything. All we need to do is to seek Him first and all other things that we need shall be given to us.
You were created for a purpose, so don't waste your time, energy and life on unproductive activities. Let God be first in all your endeavours. Use your gifts and talents to lead others to God. Don't let the fact that you've been saved be the end of the road for you. You must work out your salvation fear and trembling (Philippians 2:12).
Hope you enjoy the song.
