Today marks the beginning of what I've dubbed TEENS WEEK. And even though this blog is about sharing advice and helping all young people, I want to dedicate this week to talking about issues we as teenagers have to deal with (I am in my last year of being a teenager so I'm still allowed to call myself one).
So today's song is Gold by Britt Nicole. It's actually so motivational and talks all about self-esteem. You're worth more than gold, no matter how little anyone makes you feel and no matter your lack of qualities or abilities.
Don't let anyone tell you that you're not loved because you are loved by the Great God who created the Universe and who created you too. Don't let anyone tell you that you're not enough, because God gave up His Most Precious Possession just to bring you back to Him.
There will be days where you feel like you're not important, or you're not as significant to someone as you'd hoped to be. We all have those days, when we feel lonely despite being in a crowd of friends. When we feel discouraged and disheartened. But remember that all the rain in the sky, can't put out the fire that is inside of you. You are a volcano of greatness waiting to erupt. You are a star that needs to shine. You are worth more than jewels, pearls and gold. The Daughter/Son of the King of all Kings. You, my friend, are royalty. And being a royal, what do you have to fear?
Don't let the world dictate who you are because God has already told you that you are His. Stand up and let the world see that bundle of love, talent and awesomeness that's buried inside of you.
Never forget that you're worth more than Gold.
