HAPPY NEW YEAR LOVELIES!!!
By the Grace of God we've made it into the year 2020! I'm so psyched to find out what's in store for me this year. It's also a brand new decade, which I'm positive will be filled with many exciting adventures.
With all these experiences that we're going to encounter, it's important to remember that every step of the way, God is with us. We must also be reminded that we carry the light of Christ within us and therefore, we must set an example for others to follow.
In the spirit of this, the song for today is Echo by Blanca.
The song starts off with the lyrics,
'One thousand four hundred and forty minutes Every day I gotta decide How am I gonna live it'
We've all been given 24 hours in a day, but it's how we decide to use it that determines where we stand in life. Sure it's good to rest from work, but how long should you rest? And should you be resting when you know there are important tasks to complete? Every minute of our lives is precious and we are therefore advised to use it wisely.
'I was made to leave a mark Carry fire in my heart No matter where I go I want my life to echo You '
We were born and saved to be a reflection of Christ in this world; we are supposed to be the light of the world. Light's purpose is to overcome the darkness and make visible the right path. Jesus is the path and as light of the world, we are to show others the way to get to Him. And one way of doing this is by living as Christ did.
Our lives must echo Christ's. Our words, our actions, even our thoughts must glorify God. We are sons and daughters of the Most High God and in order to go into the world and save the perishing souls, we must show Christ to them by living in accordance to God's Word.
Whatever it is that God asks us to do, it's only right that we do it without hesitation and in total obedience. Obedience is a necessary attribute as a child of God, for God wants our obedience more than He wants our offerings, worship and sacrifices (1 Samuel 15:22).
Yes it can be difficult to obey at times, especially when it means risking something important to you. But in the end, God has much bigger plans for you. All you need to do is trust that His promises shall come to pass.
I hope you enjoy the song.
