Bear fruits in keeping with repentance. And do not begin to say to yourselves, 'We have Abraham as our father.' For I tell you, God is able from these stones to raise up children for Abraham.
Luke 3:8
Chapter 3 starts off by talking about the ministry of John the Baptist. He confidently preached about the need to repent and be baptised for the forgiveness of sins. And although he was baptising people in water, he didn't hide the fact that a true Savior would come, who would baptise the people with the Holy Spirit.
He wasn't afraid to rebuke the wrongdoings of the people, and even of Herod the tetrarch (simply the governor of Galilee). And for this He was even later on imprisoned.
Part of John's message was that the people shouldn't be baptised just for the fear of the wrath of God, but that they must genuinely repent of their sins and bear fruits after doing so.
God wants us to know that once we repent and turn to Him, that's not the end.
No.
We have to go out to the world and share this message of salvation. Our actions must reflect Christ and our hearts must be filled with love for God and all people.
Being born again isn't just about being free from the chains of darkness that once held you in bondage; it's about using this new life of righteousness to reach out to the world.
Salvation is not the end but the beginning of a greater journey.
Stay blessed and stay a blessing.
