The Luke Challenge Day 13

“There will be weeping there, and gnashing of teeth, when you see Abraham, Isaac and Jacob and all the prophets in the kingdom of God, but you yourselves thrown out. Indeed there are those who are last who will be first, and first who will be last.”

Luke 13:28,30

With all the things happening in life, it's easy to get lost in it all and forget your main purpose for being on this earth. We forget that Jesus Christ will be coming soon for His saints, and therefore until then, we are supposed to work out our salvation with fear and trembling. We are meant to be doing the work God called us to do and always be prepared for His coming.

How devastating would it be to get to Heaven and hear that you can't get in?

That's why we need to always live as though this could be our last day on earth. We are to share God's love with others each and every day.

The text also tells us that the first would be last and the last would be first. You may know someone who seems on fire for God and totally in sync with Him, only to realise when you go to Heaven, you that felt you had nothing to show for, ended up earning more rewards than he.

God doesn't look at the acts but at the heart. Let all your actions and words be sincere and full of love. Don't do anything for the praise of men but for the praise of your Heavenly father.

Stay blessed and stay a blessing.
