Singing in the Midst of Trials

In times of trouble and challenges, it's a human instinct to worry and fear. But we are not just human. As children of God, we're born of the Spirit and the Blood of Christ. Therefore we have someone reliable to turn to when we face hardships and that is God.

Today I want to share a few tips on what to do in the midst of trials and a few songs that encourage us of these steps.

1. Let go and listen

We tend to hold on to our fears and worry and let them consume us. But God wants us to let go of it all and come to Him. He wants us to stop trying to fix things ourselves and just listen to Him. There's this peace only He can give and we need to be able to stop and let His peace give us the strength to go on.

2. Put your hope in God alone

We need to trust that God knows what He's doing and be able to put our hope in Him. We must learn to give Him control over our circumstances and know that He is working all things out for our good.

3. Praise Him through it all

Praising God in the midst of trials can seem difficult, but once we put our full trust in Him, we need to recognise that He's already won the victory for us, whether we see it now or later. So even in the middle of the storm, remember to praise Him for who He is and what He has saved you from.
