Hebrews 5:7

During the days of Jesus’ life on earth, he offered up prayers and petitions with fervent cries and tears to the one who could save him from death, and he was heard because of his reverent submission.

Hebrews 5:7

Jesus, despite being the Son of God, always travailed in prayer. He could have used His position and authority as the Son of God to gain anything He desired, yet He humbled Himself and resorted to prayer to set an example for us to follow.

In His time of distress, when death was looming over Him, He looked to God and prayed that He would be delivered. Although He had to go through the painful experience of being humiliated and eventually crucified, He received strength from God through prayer, to endure.

Prayer is a Christian's way of communication with God, and the amazing thing about it is that it's free! We don't need to offer sacrifices or use a medium such as a priest to be able to talk to God, like in the Old Testament. Jesus became the ultimate sacrifice and High Priest, paving way for this free access to God. And this could not have been done without constant prayer.

In your walk today, remember to lay down all your worries and cares at God's feet by praying to Him constantly. We've been given this free communication, so why not take advantage of it?!

Stay blessed and stay a blessing.
