Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.
Galatians 6:9
Little acts of kindness do go a long way, even when we don't realise it. Today's scripture is telling us not to get tired of doing good things, because when the time comes for us to enjoy the benefits of our kindness, it will be a time of blessings and abundance.
It's easy to get discouraged when we think that no-one sees or appreciates the good things we do for them; especially when we are ridiculed by others. It's especially difficult to do good to others who constantly wrong you or have some sort of disdain for you. There are also those who for no reason at all, don't like you and treat you poorly.
But God doesn't tell us to treat others how they treat us; He says that, in good or bad, do good. No matter if someone hurts you, no matter if your efforts are acknowledged or not; do good.
God sees all things, so if you feel that no-one acknowledges all the good that you do for others, remember that God is watching and when the time comes, He will reward you for your hard work.
Good acts come in all forms, big or small. No matter how insignificant they may be, acts of kindness and goodness always make a difference. It might be saying something kind to someone who insults you, helping out a friend who's going through a bad time, volunteering at a home, giving away donations to charity; whatever helps and shows love to someone.
Remember that in all this, you must have a pure mindset. Don't have ulterior motives for doing good, but act out of love.
Stay blessed and stay a blessing
