Deuteronomy 8:18

But remember the Lord your God, for it is he who gives you the ability to produce wealth, and so confirms his covenant, which he swore to your ancestors, as it is today.

Deuteronomy 8:18

It seems that for everything we do in life, we need money. The saying money can't buy happiness is true but money is still needed to do a lot of things. That's why your parents work hard to make sure you're catered for; it's why people look for jobs in order to pay their bills. Working is good; God in fact advises that we all work hard to provide for ourselves and those around us. He frowns upon laziness.

But in our daily bustling around to get that dough, we have to remember that God is the true source of our wealth. He is the one who gives the grace to get that desired job and He is the one who gives the strength to get up early in the morning to work. We mustn't forget and neglect Him all in the name of needing to get paid.

Our income, our money, our wealth is all given by God. Don't become proud and boast of your efforts when you prosper because the truth is God is the reason for your success. Stay humble and always give Him the due praise. Commit all your work-related problems to Him for He is the source of your prosperity.

Stay blessed and stay a blessing.
