1 Timothy 4:12

Don’t let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith and in purity.

1 Timothy 4:12

As youth, our young age tends to lead us being labelled as inexperienced or immature. But in God's sight, age is no hindrance when it comes to carrying out His plans. He was able to use Josiah, who at the age of eight became king of Judah and did what was right in God's sight, even at that young age (2 Kings 22). He was able to use Timothy, a young man who ended up pastoring the church of Ephesus, despite others probably seeing him as unqualified.

God tells us that it doesn't matter your age; if He wants to use you, He will use you. Don't let anybody make you feel intimidated because of how young you may be, especially in the House of God. As long as He has placed gifts within you, use them to His glory.

God also urges us to be examples to other believers, young and old, in five main areas:

In speech, regarding how he we talk and the words that come out of our mouths.

In conduct, how we act, both privately and publicly.

In love, how we treat others and even how we treat ourselves.

In faith, how we build ourselves and others up spiritually.

And finally in purity, how we live our lives in a holy and upright manner.

No matter your age, God requires you to be an example and to not let your youth be an obstacle in the way of achieving His plans for your life. Our youth should rather serve as an advantage in serving God and living our lives in a pleasing and just manner.

Stay blessed and stay a blessing.
